Without an account, a photo link lives for 30 days by default. When you create it, you can shorten it to 24 hours or 7 days — perfect when a share only matters for one conversation or one weekend.

Three durations combine with the protections: burn-after-read deletes the photo at first view, the chosen lifetime erases it afterwards, and links created from a free account never expire unless you delete them.

Expiry is final
Once the date passes, the link stops responding and the file leaves circulation. You cannot extend an expired link: recreate it if you still need it.
