Safe sexting: the golden rules

Swapping intimate photos between consenting adults is nothing to be ashamed of. What matters is staying in control: of what you show, to whom, and for how long.
1. Consent, always
Only send an intimate photo to someone who asked for or agreed to it, and never forward someone else's. In most countries, sharing an intimate image without consent is a crime.
2. Stay unrecognisable
No face, no recognisable tattoo, no identifiable background. If the photo leaks, nobody should be able to trace it back to you.
3. Pick the right channel
Avoid messaging apps that keep photos forever or back them up to the cloud. An AnonShot link with self-destruction (1 h, 24 h, a set date) and a password limits the photo's lifetime, and its metadata is stripped automatically.
4. Accept that a screenshot is possible
No app can prevent a screenshot or a photo of the screen. Only send what you could live with if it got around.
