The short answer

What anonymous actually means

An anonymous share is not attached to a name, email address, or public profile. The picture is absent from public galleries and its address is not intended for search engines. Anyone who receives the link could still forward it, so an unlisted URL is not an absolute secret.

Like any online service, a host processes technical data needed to operate securely and prevent abuse. To reduce information carried inside the file, AnonShot strips EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates, before serving the shared copy.

How to send a picture anonymously

Choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, inspect the preview, and create the link. Paste the /p/code address into a message, email, or chat. The recipient opens it in a browser with nothing to install.

Add a password when the address might be intercepted and send that password through a different channel. Enable burn-after-read when the picture should only be available for one viewing. For an automated tool, use a standard share with no password and pass it /p/code/image.

Limits to remember

No host can stop a recipient from taking a screenshot, saving the file, or photographing their screen. Only send material you have permission to share and choose the recipient carefully.

The URL is stable, but the file is not necessarily permanent. It stops working after expiry, owner deletion, or burn-after-read. That controlled lifetime is a core part of discreet photo sharing.
