Why signup kills the collection

The problem with collecting wedding photos is not technical, it is human. Every extra step loses guests: create an account, remember a password, install an app, accept terms.

You end up with photos from the ten most motivated people and miss everyone else. A link that opens and works immediately changes the return rate entirely.

Drop mode, and why it matters here

A regular album is filled by its owner and viewed by whoever holds the link. Drop mode inverts that: guests add their photos without seeing anyone else's.

For a wedding, that nuance solves a real worry: guests upload freely, without feeling watched and without being able to download everybody's photos. You stay the only one seeing the whole set.

How to run it on the day

Setup takes a few minutes, the night before or that morning.

• Create the album with drop mode ticked, and keep the edit link safe — it is how you manage the album.
• Print the drop link on table cards, or send it round the guest group chat.
• Add a password if you would rather the link did not travel beyond the intended circle.
• Send the link again at the end of the evening: that is when people have their best photos and still have the event in mind.

Limits worth knowing

Each upload accepts up to 20 files, with 50 MB per photo and 150 MB per short video. Guests can repeat as often as needed.

One important point: an album created without an account expires after 30 days. For a wedding, download everything before that deadline, or create the album from an account so it stays available.
